     We use quality Bona and Dura Seal products.  For urethane-finished floors with moderate wear, we can "screen" your floor.  Imagine rubbing a small screen (yes, like screenwire) over the floor.  This roughs the urethane and gathers up any grease and oil in the dust that is swept away.  We then apply one coat of urethane to the prepared floor and it is smooth, shiny (if you want) and new looking.  Expect this to last 3 to 5 years in medium traffic.

     Floors that are worn and have had heavy traffic, or if you wish to change the color, must be refinished.  In this process, we sand your floor, fill as needed and apply sealer/stain coat to the floor.  This seals the wood and colors it.  Then 2 coats of urethane are applied for the final finish.  Expect this to last 5 to 7 years in medium traffic.
